The Rosy Pom Fizz: My Mocktail of Choice this New Year

Just because you’re not imbibing, doesn’t mean you can’t get a little crafty with your beverages. Behold, the Rosy Pom Fizz: my New Year’s creation for 2021.

If you’re on the mocktail train, if you’re doing a dry January, or if you just want to try something different, give it a whirl. And yes, you can add a splash of vodka – although I’d recommend elderflower liquer and/or Prosecco if you’re cocktail-ing it up.

Here’s the simple recipe (use a festive glass!):

  • 4 parts mineral water
  • 1 part pure pomegranate juice
  • Fresh lime wedge
  • Fresh rosemary sprig

Combine the mineral water and pomegranate juice. Squeeze in the fresh lime juice. Pull off a few rosemary leaves, crinkle with your fingers, and add to the drink; top with the fresh rosemary sprig.

Perfect as a mocktail.

If you want to add alcohol, replace some or all of the mineral water with prosecco and add 1 part elderflower liquer. Another simple option is adding a half-shot of plain vodka.

Bottoms up! Cheers to the New Year!
